A.J. Teeter Farm was established in 1847 and is the oldest family farm in the Town of Ithaca, New York.  Alan and Debbie Teeter, along with their children Alexander and Abigail, are the 5th and 6th generations to farm this land. All structures on the farm, including the homes, were built or restored using lumber milled from timber harvested from the farm’s woodlands. Over the past 160+ years, the farm progressed with the innovations and changes in agriculture: the Teeters bred and trained draft horses, raised chickens, dairy farmed, raised dairy replacement heifers, and raised crops. Today, Alan and his family manage the farm's 180 acres organically, growing hay on much of the acreage and raising grass-fed beef on the pasture land.
